Internet marketing can be overwhelming, particularly when you are new and merely starting to learn about the field. As you sort through information in articles and online forums, you’ll see all kinds of lists featuring “how you too can be the next big thing!” All of these lists are going to seem to contradict each other. One list will tell you that becoming the next “big thing” is all about being diligent. Business savvy is another claim frequently made by these lists. And, of course, you can’t forget about all of the people claiming that all you have to do is buy their software program if you wish to be the next big name in Internet marketing!
Take a look at what says Backstage Pass Profits. Know this: All of these things count (well, perhaps not the software program, but the other things). Business smarts, creativity and patience are all extremely important to your success.
Good communication means more than merely having a great sales page. Good communication is more than having a beautiful web site with a lengthy FAQ page. You can get those by employing seasoned designers and writers. So, how do you do that?
1. This is not a joke. You don’t have to write a long note for every mail. You can simply tell your correspondent that you’ve gotten his email and will be getting back to him shortly. Try to include a snippet that references something the the other person has written.
2. Don’t screen calls. Try to answer the phone by the third ring. Do this even if the Caller ID tells you that the call is from somebody that you really do not want to talk to. You don’t have to answer your phone around the clock. What you should do is have clear business hours during which you can answer calls. Put out these hours on your site and in your voice mail message too. And, obviously, every individual who leaves a message deserves a call back.
3. Check with people to make sure that they have gotten your memos, emails, messages, etc. It will help your clients and buyers trust you further if you genuinely take the time to ask if they have any questions about your messages so that they can ask you to clarify anything they need clarified.
